Share your mental health story
Envoy, in collaboration with the South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, wants to hear from people across South Carolina: those who have experienced a mental health issue and those who have responded to one. Your experience can help shape more compassionate, connected care for every community.

For mental health professionals, law enforcement, first responders, hospital staff and others directly involved in crisis response across South Carolina.

A moment that stands out to you
What helped you respond, and how people or organizations worked together
What made it harder, and what might have made a difference
LIVED EXPERIENCE
I've experienced a mental health issue
For anyone who has sought or received mental health support, whether for depression, anxiety, substance use or another concern, including those who helped a friend, family member or colleague find support.
YOU MIGHT REFLECT ON
What the experience was like for you
What helped along the way
What felt challenging or missing, and what might have made a difference
Does more than one describe you? You’re welcome to share a story from each perspective.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Listening first, so care can reach every community
Every person who lives through a mental health crisis, and every person who responds to one, holds insight into what helps and what gets in the way. This project gathers those experiences from residents, families, first responders and care providers across South Carolina.
What we learn will help identify what's working, strengthen coordination between people and services, and inform more compassionate, accessible and responsive approaches to mental health crisis care, especially in rural communities.
This project is part of South Carolina's Rural Health Transformation Program. Read the State's announcement.
